After a lot of practice, finally got a run that clears this time attack stage in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 in under 15 mins. Quite pleased with this run, my speed throughout the straighter parts of the course improved a lot, though I made a couple mistakes in some tricky turns that resulted in a speed loss.
Using 640 HP setting. The course has a LOT of turns that result in speed loss, particularly at higher settings such as 700+ that make it difficult to recover, with limited straight sections to go full throttle. As such, using a grip or a high grip setting seems to be ideal. I think the sweet spot for this course is 660 HP or 680 HP, but 640 allows for a bit more handling forgiveness around the tricky corners without needing to brake or let off the gas.
