I cover the two main pathways to German universities: direct admission through a recognized higher education entrance qualification (HZB) and the Studienkolleg route for students whose school diplomas do not qualify for direct entry. You’ll understand what HZB means, which certificates may be accepted, and how subject-restricted access works.

I also explain how Studienkolleg functions, the different focus courses (G, W, T, M, etc.), the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP), and typical German and English language certificates required for admission.

A full section is dedicated to uni-assist: what it is, which universities use it, what a VPD (Preliminary Review Documentation) is, and how to apply step by step, including documents, translations, certified copies, deadlines, and fees.
