Few, if any directors have a perfect filmography. Even legends like Spielberg and Scorsese have their misses. For a large portion of Nolan's career though, he was yet to make a film that was widely regarded as a disappointment. This hot streak would seemingly end in 2020 however, with the release of Tenet. Many called it confusing and all over the place. I was well aware of this reputation before my first viewing of Tenet and was prepared for the worst. Did Tenet meet my low expectations? Or could it perhaps be a misunderstood masterpiece?
