Here are some of the highlights from the footage I captured during the finale of the World Surfing Tour, which took place at my home break. I joined the event at the last minute, not only to support my childhood friend, Ramzi, but also to capture the incredible atmosphere that his talent brings to the scene. Ramzi has fought tirelessly, day in and day out, to reach this level of surfing.
What stands out most about him is his authenticity. Despite the influences of social media on many surfers today, Ramzi has stayed true to himself and hasn’t changed a bit. He's one of the few surfers I know who has remained grounded, and his humility speaks volumes in a world that can often be driven by ego.
As for his performance in the final round, I’d rate it beyond a perfect 10. In my opinion, Ramzi is undoubtedly one of the best backside shredders in the world right now.
