Описание: Some super yacht jobs offer the very desirable option of rotation, which can have a hugely beneficial impact on your super yacht crew life. A true rotation will mean that you'll only be on board the yacht for half of the year, allowing you to enjoy some quality time with friends and family, and making your whole super yacht career a lot more sustainable.

In this video, I run through a day in the life of yacht crew handover, where the incoming crew member must be fully appraised of everything that is happening on board. Once this is complete, the outgoing crew member will be free to leave the yacht and enjoy their holiday.

Do super yacht crew get paid during this time off? In short, yes! You will continue to receive your super yacht crew salary throughout the year, and although this may not be as much as if you were working on yachts in a permanent role, the trade-off is generally considered well worth it. It means that when you are on board, you're highly motivated and ready to carry out your yacht crew duties to the highest standard.

Rotation is a big goal of mine, but it is very often reserved for the more senior roles on larger yachts. As a result, I'm working hard to get my yacht crew qualifications and further my mega yacht career, so that I am eligible for one of these highly prized superyacht jobs.
