U.S. Senators voted Sunday to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history with 8 Democrats teaming up with Republicans to pass a bill that will fund certain departments through next year.
That includes SNAP benefits. The bill includes a reversal of all layoffs and sources tell NBC News that it will include back pay for federal workers.
