What I’m Knitting for Spring 2026 and a New Quilt for National Quilt Month |Ep 9

Celebrating the transition to spring with 2 new sweater cast ons. I'm using yarn from my stash to swatch for the Cloud sweater by PetiteKnit and the Matcha Jumper by Vert Knit.

I explain my planning process from selecting yarn, pattern, knitting, measuring a gauge swatch and examining the designer's intention for fit, including ease for selecting the correct size for my specific physical measurements.

I also finished the re-knit of my Moosonee pullover using reclaimed yarn. My Shawlography is on my form. This shawl is an FO from the Stephen West Mystery Knit along. I show it because the yarn I used was entirely from my stash. I want you to know if you have a yarn stash, you can knit lots of garments which you may not have planned to knit when you purchased the yarn.

I'm also sharing a quilt I've started sewing for a dear friend and in honor of National Quilting Month. The Entwined Quilt is a 76" x 76" quilt pattern from The Quilt Factory. I used an Andover fabric line called Jamestown by Jo Morton to match Dwain's new home.

My handmade garments are created slowly and intentionally, honoring the beauty of handmade textiles and the quiet rhythm of making by hand.
