The Geological Park of Faraklos is composed of natural sculptures of particular geomorphological value, which were created, thousands of years ago, by the abrupt contact of lava with the sea. The rock formations, in dozens of shades of golden yellow and red and in various shapes and sizes, are also called "Frankocephala" as many are sphere-shaped.
The lunar landscape that reaches to the sea is, indisputably, a work of art of nature and the park an undeniable witness of the rich geological history of Lemnos.
To visit it, it is enough to go to the village of Propuli, follow the road that crosses it and then follow the dirt road indicated by the signs at the end of the village.
