California Storm Series Incoming | Huge Surf, Sierra Snow, Bay Area Air Quality Issues

Описание: A California storm series is starting to show stronger signals in the computer models, and that could mean a meaningful return to rain and Sierra snow as we head into next week. After a stretch of warm and dry weather, we’re finally seeing signs of a pattern change that could bring winter back to California.

In the short term, we’re tracking dangerous surf along the California coast, dense valley fog, and wind advisories in Southern California. Air quality continues to be an issue in parts of the Bay Area, while Southern California is seeing somewhat cleaner air conditions.

Temperatures remain well above seasonal averages, and while a few record highs were set yesterday, today could still challenge records in a few locations. Southern California may even see some high clouds and isolated sprinkles from a weak passing system.

By the weekend, expect a noticeable shift. Winds increase, temperatures trend cooler, and incoming systems from the north begin to reshape the weather pattern across the Golden State.
