Dalburg: the Castle Ruin that NEVER got destroyed by war

Описание: Hello, welcome to another set of videos from Germany! We have partnered up with our good friend Orca FPV for another couple of stunning and action packed castle visits. Today we are in the town of Dalberg. A huge thanks goes out to Förderverein Freunde der Dalburg e.V. as well for their warm reception, their permission to film the castle and to supply us with all the information we could need to make this video.

Castle Dalburg is located on a hill overlooking the town of Dalberg. It is a huge fortress with some spectacular details. Though it is so huge, it actually was never destroyed by war! Like some of the castles we have visited before it was a Ganerbenburg, meaning that multiple branches of the family all lived together in the same castle. Buildings were assigned to each branch while keeping some areas as common property such as the gates. In the video you’ll see evidence of this Ganerbenburg-effect with your own eyes. We’ll take you from the Dieterbau to the Bergfried and from the water pipeline to the chapel, and back! With the help of the drone we’ll take you to places that you won’t be able to access yourself when visiting. This video is a must see and we hope you enjoy.
