Bao Buns are flavorful steamed pork buns! In this video learn how to make the dough and filling from scratch. My girlfriend also has a technique to keep the meat mixture juicy and succulent without the need for starch!

The dough:
300g/1.75 US cups of flour
2 tsp of active yeast
1 tbsp sugar
200ml/6.75 oz of water
The filling:
Meat of your choice
1 star anise pod
2 tsp of sichuan peppercorns
1 knob of ginger
Long green onion
Green bunch onions
Dried shiitake mushrooms
3 tbsps of soy sauce
1 tbsp of dark soy sauce
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
And msg
Sprinkle white pepper
And chinese five spice
Add a drizzle of oil
