3 Easy Homemade Chocolate Recipes

Eating sweet things (in moderation) can be one of the most balancing and healing things for a modern, stressed out human being. It's one of the best things you can do to heat your body, wake up your metabolism up, heal your thyroid, and re-balance your hormones. According to Ayurveda, the sweet taste is phenomenally balancing for both Vata and Pitta (I am both). Surprised to hear I eat sweets? :-) Not just any sweets! If I'm going to treat myself, I'd rather make sure it's very special, made by me, and I want to know exactly what's inside it. Dessert can be just as nourishing as any other meal if you do it right! In this video, I'm going to show you the three ways how I make chocolate at home. Since I started making my own chocolate, I haven't been able to go back to the store-bought varieties. They just don't taste as good and they have unnecessary or empty ingredients, such as white sugar, soy lecithin, and natural flavours. Just make your own chocolate, people! It's one of the easiest things you can do at home. Raw cacao is a great source of magnesium and iron. Coconut oil is great for your brain, digestive system, and your skin. And I'm not even talking about all of the other ingredients. Eating dessert without guilt is awesome! Obviously, please try to use common sense. Having a dessert a day is smart. Eating it all the time isn't!
Also, I think I'm going to turn this into a little video series called "Nourish Your Body Eating Dessert". I'm convinced that dessert has a very important place in our lives and I'll show you how you can do it right!

These are the ingredients you'll need for the three recipes:
Energy Boosting Chocolate Truffles 00:50
◘ 3 tbsp. cacao butter (ideally raw)
◘ 3 tbsp. virgin coconut oil
◘ 4 tbsp. cacao powder (ideally raw)
◘ 5 tbsp. almond meal
◘ a pinch of vanilla powder (I forgot to mention it in the video, but it really rounds the flavours up perfectly)
◘ 1.5 tbsp. rice syrup
◘ around a couple tablespoons of coconut flakes to roll the balls in
Chia and Goji Berry Superfood Chocolates 03:02
◘ 3 tbsp. cacao butter (ideally raw)
◘ 4 tbsp. virgin coconut oil
◘ 3 tbsp. cacao powder (ideally raw)
◘ 1.5 tbsp. panela/demerara sugar
◘ 3 tbsp. chia seeds
◘ 2 tbsp. dry goji berries
Grappa Raisin and Hazelnut Chocolates 05:15
◘ 7 tbsp. virgin coconut oil
◘ 3 tbsp. cacao powder (ideally raw)
◘ around 20 raisins
◘ grappa, brandy, cognac, rum or any liqueur to soak the raisins or you can use simple water if you'd rather avoid alcohol
◘ 10 whole hazelnuts (ideally skinless)
◘ 1.5 tbsp. panela/rapadura sugar
