To make CodeIgniter a Web Rest API Server we need to download 4 files and set inside the
application:

CodeIgniter Project (3.1.11)

/application

/config

rest.php

/libraries

Format.php

REST_Controller.php

/language

/english

rest_controller_lang.php

About Downloaded REST API setup files:

1. rest.php = Configuration file

API configuration settings file:
rest_default_format,
rest_supported_formats,
rest_keys_table,
rest_language, ...

2. rest_controller_lang.php = Language file

API Error message according to selected rest_language

3. Format.php = Format file

Helpful to convert between various formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, etc.

4. REST_controller.php = Main REST API File
