Odisha's health minister, Naba Kisore Das, was shot at from point-blank range by an assistant sub-inspector of police. Naba Kisore was shot twice on the left side of his chest, leaving him critically injured. The incident occurred in the Jharsuguda district when the minister got out of his car to meet his supporters. The video showed Das bleeding and seeming unconscious. The Odisha minister was immediately rushed to a local hospital and was later airlifted to Bhubaneswar as his condition is said to be critical.
