Physician’s analysis of Clomiphene as used in bodybuilding as an estrogen blocker and its side effects and properties. Clomiphene is primarily a female infertility drug, but bodybuilders use it for its anti-estrogen effects - as PCT, a replacement for TRT, and to combat anabolic steroid induced hypogonadism (ASIH.) Clomiphene in this use can have paradoxical effects, raising estrogen and possibly leading to gynecomastia, as well as various rare direct side effects. Importantly, it seems to have very negative mood effects in men who have used steroids, but not necessarily in men who have not.
