The best part of the build happened at midday. We were standing in the middle of the house, and even without the AC turned on, the air felt different. Look at the way the honeycomb shield cuts the heat. It’s a technical solution to making a 1,350-square-meter floor area actually livable in the tropics.

In this tour, Iza Calzado takes us through THE PEAK, the latest project by Excalibur Builders. Located in Metro Manila, this residence is a calculated response to the landscape. From the grounding weight of the solid Narra planks to the radiant glow of the Brazilian Ice marble bar, every square meter was engineered with a specific purpose.
