Driving in Germany: Bundesstraße B29 & B14 from Lorch to Stuttgart-Ost

In this video you can drive along on Bundesstraßen B29 and B14 from Lorch to the East of Stuttgart, where the B14 flows into the B10. Both the B29 and B10 are important expressways feeding in and out of the Stuttgart metropolitan area, carrying significant numbers of traffic each day.

The B29 runs from Waiblingen, just 10 kilometers Northeast of Stuttgart, to the city of Aalen (near Autobahn A7). For a large part it's actually built to Autobahn standards but it was never turned into an actual Autobahn. For a significant part however, the speed limit is 120 km/h.

The B14 is an important Bundesstraße that traverses the heart of Stuttgart and serves important satellite cities such as Waiblingen, Winnenden and Backnang. It merges into the B19 at Schwäbisch Hall about 60 kilometers to the North of Stuttgart.

At the end of the video there is some impressive infrastructure with the 1600 meters long Kappelberg tunnel that passes the city of Fellbach and the drive down into the Stuttgart valley. The B14 bridge is very high and long, crossing the Neckar and a part of Stuttgart. Some points of interest are the Mercedes-Benz Arena on the right (VfB Stuttgart), the Mercedes-Benz Museum on the right adjacent to the B14 and Daimler's HQ on the left at Stuttgart Untertürkheim, one of Daimler's oldest and biggest production plants.
