The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has today obtained orders freezing a total of 48 million shillings held in 11 bank accounts associated with Wilson Kanani, an employee of the Nairobi City County
In an affidavit presented by the anti-graft body, Kanani is accused of failing to account for his accumulated wealth, given his monthly net salary of Kshs. 55,000 under job group L, where he works as a development control officer. Between January 2016 and October this year, Kanani is suspected to have transacted up to 506 million shillings through the accounts registered to him, companies affiliated to him as well as his spouse and children who are minors.
