I don't believe the boss is bugged as some people have reported. It's just poorly designed.

Key to killing the boss is using the water cannon three times in order to lower Arden's damage resistance. The second time is crucial. You can tell when you are successful by the greater damage values in the 100K to 300K range. If you miss the time window where the cannon is green, you might was well die and start over, otherwise it will take forever. It took me well over an hour to kill the boss the first time because I missed the second cannon.

The third time water cannon is not absolutely necessary. It just takes longer, although not as long as missing the second time - you can still complete this stage in 20 minutes or so.

After the Arden's armor is down to half way point, there are times when the water cannon will still become green. I couldn't figure out exactly when because it's rather difficult to see when the lights go on.
