Iran–USA tensions are affecting global energy routes. Iran recently restricted movement through the Strait of Hormuz, which is a key route for oil and LPG supplies to Asia. Because of this, LPG supply to many Asian countries has slowed down.
However, after talks with India, Iran allowed two Indian ships carrying around 80,000 tons of LPG from Qatar to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This may provide temporary relief to India’s LPG supply.
If the conflict continues, it could impact energy supplies across Asia.
