Funeral classifieds: local broadcasting services across the country, as well as (previously) VTV did sell a lot of classified information that is ranged from selling home, finding jobs, public announcements, and even funeral notices. While smaller local services still done that intensively, VTV and bigger local services had cut back much of these offerings, only sparingly air that occasionally throughout the day.
"The New HTV" transmitter and programming announcement: Ms. Khải Hoàn announced the exciting new transmission time for the HTV networks. Bigger, longer and better. From 1st January of 1995, Channel 9 would air in two blocks, the first (breakfast/morning) is from 6 to 10 in the morning, and the second block is from 7 in the evening to half past 10 at night. Channel 7 would have the same breakfast block (but programmed differently, except for news every hour), but would have a bigger block from 2 in the afternoon to 11 at night.
Also, the relay of VTV National (First Program) would be on air soon. Broadcasting on Channel 28, testing on this frequency began on 28th December of 1994 with the turning on of this transmitter, and it has been announced that the transmitter would be commenced from 1st January of 1995 too. With the official commencement, Channel 9 wouldn't have to relay the VTV Evening News (and, later, VTV News at 7)... or is it? (plus, the then-president of HTV, Huỳnh Văn Nam, guide you to retune your TV to watching VTV National on Channel 28)











The government didn't quite happy about that, so Channel 9 had to relay VTV News at 7, again. The Ministry of Information and Communication lifted this rule a few years ago (without official notice) - marking a major difference from the neighboring China, perhaps because of digitalization and more people are sticking to the Internet instead, so it's quite magic that Channel 9 still has to relay the News at 7, even if HTV has grown too much that it can be fully independent from the VTV, including the programming. Maybe because the city government still requires them...? I'm not really sure.
