On a hot summer afternoon in June, I stopped in the Appalachian city of Pikeville en route to Atlanta from West Virginia. I must say it was quite the experience being in this mountainous town full of art and small town charm. This, along with many other cities in Eastern Kentucky suffered a massive flood back in 2021. However, the local residents remain strong and maintain a strong sense of pride in one of Eastern Kentucky's largest cities. Hope you enjoy!!!
