Hey there, here is me making a little leather weight bag from a fishing weights fabric sachet. It's a huge help especially when tooling, because it prevents the leather from moving while stamping, and it keeps patterns and templates firm in place when tracing.
Now that is covered in leather, besides being outwardly stylish, it is functional because there is no risk of scratching or marking the wet leather thanks to his smooth and soft surface.
If you watch my previous videos about leather carving you will spot here and there the weight bag before the covering process.
