17 international aid organisations have petitioned Israel’s Supreme Court to block a government order that would force them to stop operations in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The groups say Israel plans to ban 37 organisations unless they submit detailed personal information about their Palestinian staff by March 1st.
Agencies including Doctors Without Borders, known by its French initials MSF, and Oxfam warn the move could trigger a humanitarian collapse.
