Japan's No.1 snow resort area. Hakuba still going off in March.

Описание: It’s been a massive week here in Hakuba with a good storm rolling through and dumping a lot of snow. Around 80cms up top over a couple of days. Resorts were excellent during those days and then the clouds cleared but the temps stayed reasonably cold and we scored incredible conditions in the backcountry. Hakuba is amazing in this respect with so many bc options. You could live here your entire life and never ski or ride every line. I’ve been here 16 years and dropped a new one myself. It was sensational and one of my new favourites now. Always take care in the backcountry here. There are many dangers to be aware of. I live by the rule of “be prepared to walk out from any line you drop”.

Always carry safety gear in the backcountry and practice how to use it. Whenever dropping into any area you should keep in mind that you could be hiking out for a considerable amount of time so be prepared for the worst. Stay safe out there.
