Ponta Delgada is a popular cruise port for transatlantic cruises. It is located on the island of São Miguel, which is part of the Azores archipelago in Portugal. The Azores are a group of nine volcanic islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, known for their stunning landscapes, lush greenery and rich marine life. The Azores can be visited year round, but the best weather is typically from May to October. It has a mild and temperate climate, with average temperatures ranging from 14 degree Celsius which is 57 degree Fahrenheit in winter to 26 degree Celsius which is 79 degree Fahrenheit in summer. The Euro currency is used and language spoken is Portuguese, though English is also widely spoken in tourist areas.
The port is situated in the city of Ponta Delgada, the capital of São Miguel and the Azores.
