Darius travels to Sicily to meet with Olivia, who is living at the foot of Mount Etna in the middle of a breakup, only for the volcano to violently erupt during filming.

This short documentary follows Olivia through volcanic rock and molten questions: What do you do when the life you built falls apart? How do you keep loving when your heart is breaking? And can a living mountain – fire, ash, and smoke – actually help you find your way back to yourself?

Set against the stark beauty of Sicily and the raw power of Etna’s eruption, Olivia shares the truth of her separation, the grief of letting go of an old identity, and the strange, sacred timing of the volcanic explosion that met her in her most vulnerable moment.

As she prepares for a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash, one of the world’s most sacred mountains, Olivia begins to understand surrender not as giving up, but as giving over: to something larger, wilder, and more loving than the plans she once had for her life.

This is a film about love and loss, but also about listening: to land, to fire, to intuition, and to the quiet voice that remains when everything else is stripped away.
