Interjections:
What is an interjection? It’s a word that shows sudden emotion or express happiness, sadness, joy, sorrow, pain, surprise, wonder or disappointment
We usually use interjections in speech or in causal/informal writing, but not in formal writing.
Interjections are not related grammatically to the rest of the sentence.
There are so many interjections, so I can’t list them all here, but I chose the most common used in English.

There are two types of interjections:
A) Primary interjection.
1) They always take an exclamation mark.
2) They often stand-alone by self at the beginning or at the end of the sentence.
3) If you want to put an interjection in the middle of the sentence, you have to put it between two commas or parentheses.
4) They change the meaning depending on the context.
E.g. Oh! I didn’t see your call. (Surprise)
E.g. Oh! I’m so happy that you call back. (Joy)
E.g. Oh! We were hoping you to stay with us for a few days. (Disappointment)
B) Secondary interjections: Normally a word that functions in two ways or has more than one function.
For examples: awesome, fantastic, fabulous, brilliant, boy, man, well
E.g. Man! What’s wrong with you? (Interjection)
E.g. That man is a teacher. (Nous/ subject of the sentence)
E.g. Boy! You have an excuse for everything! (Interjection)
