In this video you will be shown how to find the HCF (highest common factor) and LCM (Lowest Common Multiple) of two numbers A and B. A and B have been already been given as a product of prime factors. I will find the HCF and LCM of A and B by using a Venn diagram. Draw two intersecting circles, one circle for the factors of A and the other for the factors of B. Start by putting the factors in both numbers first.
Once the Venn diagram is complete the highest common factor can be found by multiplying the factors in the centre of the Venn diagram. To get the Lowest Common Multiple multiply the HCF by the remains factors in the Venn diagram.
