Burn is the debut single by Pratika E Prabhune (MC PEP), a singer-songwriter, composer and musician from Mumbai, India. The song stems from a very innate irritation with the new system. While we're made to believe everything is hale and hearty, there are several realities that we are distracted from. Communalism, fascism and more, all trying to take the front seat slowly.

About Pratika:
Pratika grew up to pop, rock, metal and hip hop music, soaking in the day-to-day struggle coming from a middle class family in Bandra. Having gone through several financial problems since childhood, she and her brother Pritesh Prabhune made their way into the music and live entertainment industry working with some of the biggest artists and festivals from across the world.

Pratika's music career started off at the age of 12, when she started playing bass guitar in a heavy metal band (Chronic Phobia). She was featured in international heavy metal band Lamb of God's 2014 documentary 'As The Palaces Burn' telling her story of coming from a place full of social and political turmoil. She later went on to do vocals in the same band (growls/screams/clean singing). Pratika even featured with popular Indian metal band Demonic Resurrection live, and on record on a track called 'Kurma: The Tortoise' from their album 'Dashavtar'.

Pratika is the digital media manager at Azadi Records, and is also Content Manager at India's largest crowdfunded music festival Control ALT Delete. She has previously worked in companies such as 4/4 Experiences, online music store BAJAAO.com and Furtados Music. She has specialized for over 7 years in music marketing and social media, event management, hospitality and stage management.

Pratika has always been writing lyrics, and draws inspiration from the people who speak to her. From Run the Jewels to Gojira, Pratika's love for writing spans across themes and genres. Her love for science fiction and nature takes her onward for more things to come this year.
