10 MAJOR BONES OF THE SKULL, STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONS

Cranial bones (8 bones) – Protect the brain and form the structure of the head:

Frontal bone (forehead)

Mandible (1) (lower jaw, only movable skull bone)
Palatine bones (2) (form the hard palate)
Inferior nasal conchae (2) (inside nasal cavity)
Vomer (1) (forms part of the nasal septum)
