The Portenta H7 core has a built in Monitor for Remote Inspection (MRI) tool which allows the advantages of hardware debugging on the M7 core, but without any external wiring or probes necessary.

Its as simple as all other Hardware Debuggers to setup in Visual Micro, and only requires a few small changes to your sketch.

Once we have the M4 Core also debugging in this way we will release an updated video, and we will be covering the external JTAG debugging soon in our series about different Hardware Debuggers.
