Every year on August 25 the Greek orthodox in Jerusalem move the Icon of "The Dormition of the Theotokos" from a church, called "Metoxion", located opposite the entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, to the Tomb of Mary at the foothill of Mount of Olives.
The Icon rests near the tomb for a week and then returns to its home at the church of Metoxion.
