Описание: Join me in Arable Pastures on in this hot July Summer of 2025 where we look at another Thistle in the Family Asteraceae - The Spear Thistle or Cirsium vulgare AKA The Bull Thistle or Scotch Thistle. This Ruderal Species likes the disturbed well fertilised soils of Arable Field Margins or Field Gateways were cattle dung accumulates given rise to high Nitrogen content. In this episode we look at the Spear Thistle a relatively easy thistle to identify for the beginner and a rich source of summer nectar for the Pollinators join me were we look at this Prickily Plant with its sharp yellow Spikes on its Leaves , Flower Bracts and Winged Stems.........
