Columbus, Ohio weather forecast for March 31, 2026 | Very warm and very windy

Описание: Get ready for some very warm weather over the next several days as high temperatures will be 10-20 degrees above our normal high in the upper 50s. Near record highs are expected today as temperatures reach the lower 80s. Our forecast is 80°, and the current record high in Columbus is 83° set in 1998. Although it will be quite warm, it will also be windy as winds may gust to 30-40 mph.

With warm air in place, a cold front to our north will kick off showers and thunderstorms across northern Ohio this afternoon and evening. Some of the storms there could be strong to severe with risks for hail and gusty winds. Eventually, those storms will move into central Ohio tonight, but will be weakening, so our severe risk is fairly low. Best chance for any strong storms will be mainly north of I-70 through tonight.

On Wednesday, we'll continue with off and on rain showers and a few storms through the morning and into the afternoon. A frontal boundary will be set up along the I-70 corridor, so expect a wide range in temperatures across Ohio on Wednesday with 40s to the north and 70s to the south. Areas where temperatures are in the 60s and 70s could see a few thunderstorms develop later in the day.

We'll continue with more warm weather through the rest of the week and into the start of the weekend as highs are in the 70s and 80s, but there will be more chances for showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. Right now, Easter Sunday will feature some lingering rain showers in the morning with highs in the 50s.
