Описание: There are 16 categories of inventions that are NOT PATENTABLE in INDIA as per INDIAN PATENT ACT, 1970. This video explains with examples the first 8 categories of Inventions that are NOT Patentable and part 2 of the video explains the rest 8. These 16 Categories are defined by Section 3 and Section 4 of Indian Patent Act.

Part 1
------------
1:26 - Inventions that are frivolous or which claims anything obviously contrary to well established natural laws.
2:25 - Inventions that are contrary to public order or morality
3:15 - Mere discovery of a scientific principle or formulation of an abstract theory or discovery of any living thing or non-living substances occurring in nature.
4:07 - Mere discovery of a new form of a known substance which does not result in the enhancement of the known efficacy is not patentable.
4:54 - A substance obtained by a mere admixture resulting only in the aggregation of the properties of the components. A new process for producing such admixture without any substantial effect is not patentable
5:37 - The mere arrangement or rearrangement or duplication of known devices each functioning independently of one another in a known way.
6:34 - A method of agriculture or horticulture
7:12 - Any process for the medicinal, surgical, curative, prophylactic [diagnostic therapeutic] or other treatment of human beings not patentable.
