"My God and King (Only You)" is the original version before its additions by Terry MacAlmon. He loved the song, wrote a second verse to it and then asked for us to record it together. It's been sung all over the world since then and I'm honored that the Lord has used it. This original version has a very different feel than his, but both have the same heart's cry. I wrote this little melody not long after my husband passed away, so it's very precious to me for many reasons. When I sing it live, I always include the second verse because I literally could've written it from my own recent experience. I'm grateful Terry gave words when I didn't quite have them yet. At any rate, this is where it began, so I offer this prayer for you as you worship your King this side of heaven too.
