So the reason why my 3090 kingpin went bad at the very late of December last year is now pretty clear. The gap between the right side VRM heatsink and the actual mosfets is quite big. And the thermal pad used by default can easily bend and become thinner by tearing when you uninstall the VRM heatsinks. If this happens it is very easy to loose contact altogether on the right side mosfets, especially at the middle.
I heavily recommend you to pay attention to this if you disassemble the cooling solution even once. It is best to play safe and stack high performance thermal pad on top of the original one to maintain the best possible contact on the mosfets themselves. For normal gaming this doesn't really matter as the loads are generally quite mild. For very long duration cryptocurrency mining and LN2 overclocking I would pay attention on the VRM cooling and make sure they are not overheating.
I wanted to make this short advice video so that you will not repeat the mistakes I made. I just didn't realize the mosfets at the middle on the right-hand side of the card were getting really really hot when running the card on LN2 in tests like 3DMark Port Royal at 1.5v+. The 3090 Kingpin is absolutely awesome graphics card otherwise. Use some high performance thermal pad known manufacturers offer, like Gelid Solutions GP Ultimate, Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad and so on.
Thanks for watching and I hope this helps!
