Описание: Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe is a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV). Porsche decided the Cayenne Turbo S needs some electric charge to offer breathtaking performance, while at the same time meet the emissions standards.

Emissions is the word used today by just about everyone in the auto industry. If a carmaker wants to avoid high fines they need to curb emissions. There are several ways to go about it, like downsizing, turbocharging, electrification or a combination of the above. In case of a 4-litre V8 it’s hard to talk about downsizing, but there is a turbo. Two turbos actually.

This is pretty much the same 550-hp engine like in the ordinary Cayenne Turbo, but Porsche added a plug-in hybrid system with a 136 hp electric motor, and 14.1 kWh batteries. The total output is 680 hp, and 900 Nm of torque. This behemoth comes in at a hefty 2.5 tonnes, about 300 Kilos more, than the regular Cayenne Turbo. What are the benefits?
