Panama Experience- Considering retiring in Santa Fe? Driving to see a property/lot.

We're taking a look at the Centro de Santa Fe, market for local artesanal items, minisupers/taxi/bus stop, local popular restaurant Hermanos Pineda, and local coffee producer Cafe el Tute.
The coffee beans are a bit more "greasier" compared to, for example, famous Janson Coffee Farm beans, translating from a different method of roasting the beans.

The down side of this experience is the only road from Santiago leading to Santa Fe, the first two thirds, is full of pot holes- by far, the worst condition of any road we've traveled on in Panama. Be prepared to see oncoming vehicles on your lane slowly trying to miss the large number of pot holes and swirling back to their lane at a very slow speeds (and you will have to do the same.....). The problem with that strategy is there is simply so many holes on the road, while steering to oncoming traffic lane to try to miss them, you will drive on many of them regardless. (The auto parts stores selling shock absorbers is the business to be in this neighborhood). Huge difference to the silky smooth new roads from Pedasi to past Playa Venao, to Volcan, and to Boquete.

In Santa Fe you need to work on your Spanish since English is not widely spoken here- there is a very small expat population, and communicating here in Spanish is a must.
