Tarum Festival is the Catarmananons' way of celebrating their devotion to Sto. Niño while also showcasing the town's rich history, art, and culture. "Cataruman", believed to be the olden name of Catarman, is derived from the word "Tarum", which refers to the sharpness of an object. It is a celebration that honors Señor Sto. Niño de Catarman through dancing.
Tarum Festival features the sharpness, bravery, and strength of the Catarmananons.
