Watch the 410 vTFOTS (Tactical Fighter Operational Training Squadron, virtual) perform their semi-regular carrier landing training in the DCS F/A-18C simulator, as part of their 2022 SCLTP (Summer Carrier Landing Training Program) rotation.
We start watching after the candidate pilot has performed several landings achieving only 3.0PT 3-wire grades, and struggling, they realize their comm choice may have been hindering their performance, and they quickly save the day by tuning into 266.000 Mhz (Ch. 20) to get support by radio they needed to get a 4.0PT 3-wire landing. The same pilot then goes for a night carrier landing, bolters, and foolishly decides to expedite the bolster-waveoff pattern, lets see how it all plays out.
