It’s not a good thing to leave things in a small child’s reach like let’s say a knitting or crochet project you’re working on. Not only can they mess it up but it can be a safety issue because they may either wrap the yarn around their neck or pick up small tools or even scissors ✂️. Always put your knitting or crochet projects out of reach of children.
That was my mistake.
Today’s story is about how I was crocheting a scarf 🧣 project and I had to walk away from it for a second and little did I know was I left it right on the couch 🛋️ where my sister could grab it. After I got back, I saw that my sister grabbed my crocheting and started playing with it. Boy was I mad. She had undone some of my stitches in the project that took a while for me to do. I snatched it from her because I was mad. My mom reminded me that it’s not my sister’s fault my crocheting got messed up. It’s my fault for leaving my project in her reach.
I felt bad for getting mad at my sister and apologized to her. She was nice about it.
The next time I walked away from my crocheting 🧶, I put it on a table out of my sister’s reach.
I definitely learned to be more careful when I leave my knitting or crocheting around children.
We all have to walk away from projects we’re working on and when we do, we need to make sure that we put them somewhere out of reach where there are children around because they may accidentally grab your project and mess it up and if they do, it’s not the child’s fault. It’s your fault for putting your project in their reach where they can get it.
