Built by HUSS Park Attractions, Talocan opened back in 2007 in the Mexican area of Phantasialand, which is also home to the Intamin log flume Chiapas, and the Vekoma mine train Colarado Adventure. With its incredible theming and intense ride cycle, it has consistently been ranked by enthusiasts as one of the World's best flat rides, with its intimidating inversions offering a fantastic spectacle to both riders and on-lookers. In fact, since the ride is usually a walk-on, there are often more people watching the ride than are in the queue! It's certainly the best of its ride type, as whilst some of the newer floorless Top Spins like Toxicator at Alton Towers are more comfortable, nothing can quite match the theming, atmosphere and overall ride experience of Talocan. With only one other thrilling flat ride at the park - the other is Mystery castle, an Intamin launched drop tower - is it time Phantasialand built another?
