"Whoopi Goldberg returned to "The View" Monday following a serious bout with pneumonia and sepsis, but she didn't exactly get to ease back into the job. Just a few minutes into her first full episode in weeks, she had to use what lung power she had to shut down an argument between co-hosts Meghan McCain and Joy Behar.

The two got into a heated discussion about the border crisis following the White House's announcement that Kirstjen Nielsen was out as Homeland Security chief.

Given that the new interim DHS secretary, Kevin McAleenan, supports the decidedly nonhardline policy of continuing U.S. financial aid to Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador, Behar said, "I don't know how this guy's gonna last."
