What is up! Today we're back with a new Full Body Conditioning workout. A common belief is that weightlifting boosts your metabolism - which while this is technically true - what matters when interpreting science is effect size.

For example, an activity could increase your metabolism by 2% or 20%. Both would technically be an increase in metabolism, but 2% would only represent a few extra calories burned per day and wouldn’t have any significant effect on your results.

This is why it’s all about effect size and knowing how to not just take facts at face value, but combine the right science with the right techniques to work smarter, not harder.

This is why I love metabolic conditioning and the Full Body Conditioning workout I’m gonna share today. This is a fast-paced resistance based workout that combines the benefits of cardio with weightlifting. So not only are you going to burn a ton of calories during this workout and get the instant benefits of that but by adding weight to these workouts, we get the metabolism boost from maintaining muscle mass PLUS the “afterburn” effect of training at a high intensity.

This training style gives you the best of both worlds without struggling through hours of boring cardio or burning calories at the cost of also burning muscle.
