Virunga National Park is Africa’s oldest and most biologically diverse national park, home to around a third of the world’s critically endangered mountain gorillas. The Park works to promote the conservation of the wildlife that inhabits the park, and to help protect local communities. Virunga's innovative development programme, the 'Virunga Alliance' is helping to create jobs and new opportunities for the 4 million people who live within a day's walk of the Park borders.
