I’ve spent most of my life as a children's author and illustrator - drawing to briefs, teaching people to draw, and making useful things for a market.
Now the world is shifting. AI can replicate almost anything on demand, and much of the old commercial creative world is changing or disappearing.
So, I’m shifting my focus.
I’m becoming more of a practical philosopher of creativity - trying to understand my place, and our place, in a universe where replication is cheap and original ideas really matter.
Drawing is part of that, but so are making, walking, thinking, talking, and noticing things. It’s a vocation, not a performance to trick algorithms into going viral. It’s a way of exploring ideas.
This channel is where I work all that out in public - one line, one thought, one experiment at a time.
