Dr Osnat Wende
Dr Wende practices as a senior pain physician at Assuta Medical Center, Jerusalem, in addition to a private pain clinic in Mevaseret Zion in which she focuses on regenerative medicine.
She founded the Israeli Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine in Israel, affiliated with the Israel Medical Association.
She uses several treatment strategies including platelet-rich plasma, prolotherapy, nerve blocks, exercises, dry needling and ergonomic consultation. She also injects stem cells derived from fat (which is taken from the patient him/herself) into joints or tendon tears for the treatment of osteoarthritis and tendon tears. Fat has lots of mesenchymal stem cells which can help regenerate tissues. These techniques use no chemicals yet recruit the body's inherent healing properties in order to heal itself. Many of the procedures are performed under ultrasound. The most important part of the visit is a very systematic clinical evaluation on which the treatment is based.
