Gary Huston

Hi, my name is Gary Huston. I'm an ex-Farrier, (43 years at it!) Blacksmith, welder and general fabricator doing what I enjoy. I started out in 1978 with a four year Farriery apprenticeship, qualifying in 82, I stayed with my boss for a total of nine years before going solo. I now work out of a unit in Hertfordshire. It's a long while in a hard job so my body is starting to get a bit old and tired so I made the decision to stop shoeing in December 2021 just before major shoulder surgery. This channel is about me, mine and things I do. A combination of my job and my hobbies, always experimenting with new ideas and one off projects. Apart from blacksmithing and Farriery there are videos on metal detecting, my animals, cooking, motorcycles, product reviews and nature to name but a few.
